This post and recipe were created for Amoretti! I was sent products to use for recipe creation but as always opinions are 100% mine. #ad
Cotton Candy Sparkler Cocktails take just a couple of minutes to make, and they are delicious and so much fun! Serve with a cotton candy garnish for a festive twist.
Happy Fri-YAY, friends! I am so excited to be sharing my SECOND recipe with Amoretti today, which is super simple and so fun for the holiday season coming up {or honestly... anytime}. Say hello to these gorgeous Cotton Candy Sparkler Cocktails! They are dead simple, and just require vodka, sparkling water, and Amoretti Cotton Candy flavoring. The real show-stopping factor for these is the presentation! Rim your glasses with sparkling pink sugar, and have fun tossing tufts of cotton candy into the drink and watching them disappear. I am just obsessed with these on every level. L O V E .
I won't lie to y'all, the hardest part of these cocktails was... coming up with a name for them! I even put an ask box on my Instagram asking for suggestions, but nothing sounded quite right. I knew it needed to have "cotton candy" in the title so the flavors couldn't' be mistaken, but I was at a loss of what to call them. Cotton candy margaritas? Cotton candy cosmopolitans?! Cotton candy vodka soda was very to-the-point, but just not fun enough for me. Finally, I came up with cotton candy sparkler and I think it is just perfect! These drinks are fizzy and light thanks to the sparkling water, so the name is very fitting!
When I was browsing the Amoretti website the other week and trying to pick out my products, this Cotton Candy artisan natural flavor immediately caught my eye and I KNEW I needed it! I wanted to make a cocktail with it from the get-go, with pink cotton candy garnish of course 🙂 There are some other super fun flavors I had my eye on too, like Birthday Cake, Toasted Marshmallow, Cinnamon Bun, Red Velvet, and even Cookie Dough and Bubblegum! Like... the possibilities are endless. Think of all the fun drinks and desserts you could whip up!
There are two reasons why this cotton candy flavoring works so well for a Cotton Candy Sparkler - one is that the flavoring is SUPER concentrated, so you just need a tiny bit! I used ½ teaspoon per cocktail and honestly, I could have even used less for a more subtle flavor. The other is that it tastes sweet without being sugary... if that makes sense?! It's basically like vanilla extract or cocoa powder in that sense, you use it as an ingredient so you can control the sugar content. This keeps the cocktails from being sickeningly sweet. And it's another reason the cotton candy garnish ALSO works very well - so you can make your drink sweeter if you want!
I hope you guys will give these cotton candy sparkler cocktails a try this holiday season! Honestly, I think they are so fun for the whole year. These would be perfect for a bridal shower, birthday party, baby shower (sans vodka for the mama-to-be, of course), or even Valentine's/Galentine's! I know I'm just looking for an excuse to make them again 🙂
