Surprise your family with this fresh take on classic pizza flavors! This Spinach Artichoke Pull-Apart Bread is so simple to make but packs lots of ooey gooey cheesy goodness.
Hello, lovely readers! I am so excited to have paired up with Borden® Cheese today to bring you this absolute show-stopper: Cheesy Chicken Spinach Artichoke Pull-Apart Bread! I know that title is a bit of a mouthful, but I promise all those elements are totally necessary 😉 This recipe takes all of the things you love about a spinach artichoke pizza, combines them with generous amounts of cheesy goodness, and it's all in bread form! Oh, yeah. You're gonna LOVE this new twist on pizza!
I feel like my love for the infamous spinach + artichoke combo has been pretty well documented on this little blog of time, from stuffed crescent rolls to spinach artichoke lasagna {which will be coming soon!}. This pull-apart bread is just the newest addition to the collection! To make this recipe, you'll need to head to your local grocery store and grab some staples. I shopped at Tom Thumb, but you can use the store locator to see where you can find some cheesy Borden® Cheese goodness! I used Borden® Cheese Cheddar Jack Shreds, Alfredo sauce, rotisserie chicken, and of course pizza dough, artichokes, and fresh spinach.
My family, as y'all know, is born-and-bred Italian so we LOVE our pizza. This cheesy pull-apart bread is such a fun take on classic pizza flavors and it's been a total success in my household! You too can celebrate wholesome family moments filled with love, made uniquely special by the love that goes into Borden® Cheese. The chicken addition was just something I added for an extra boost of flavor, but you can definitely leave it out for a vegetarian meal.
So, I also discovered the best trick for making canned artichokes taste awesome. Want to know it? Saute' them! Seriously! Just throw your drained artichokes on the stove with a little bit of olive oil and garlic, and they'll become much tastier. It's an optional additional step, but I think it makes this bread just THAT much more delicious!

chicken spinach artichoke pull-apart bread
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough homemade or store-bought
- 1 cup Alfredo sauce
- 2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
- 2 cups fresh spinach chopped
- 1 cup canned artichokes drained
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 2 cups Borden® Cheese Cheddar & Monterey Jack Shreds
Instructions
- First, saute' the artichokes (optional). Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan, and add in the drained artichokes, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper. Cook until lightly golden brown, 4-5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- Lightly grease a 9x5 loaf pan with olive oil, and line with parchment if desired.
- Sprinkle a little flour on a clean working surface, and roll the pizza dough out to about 15" x 25", making sure it doesn't get too thin or tear.
- Sprinkle on the chicken, spinach, artichokes, Alfredo sauce, and finally the Borden® Cheese.
- Using a pizza cutter, cut the pizza you have into even 5"x5" squares {I was able to get about 15}.
- Gently stack the squares on top of each other, and transfer to the prepared loaf pan.
- Allow loaf to rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.
- When ready to bake, preheat oven to 400F and bake for 30-35 minutes, until the surface is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Serve warm!

Thank you, Lucie! Bread by itself is already pretty great, but bread stuffed with cheese is even better!

What a fun recipe! I love pull-apart bread, but I usually make them with fruit and sweet ingredients. Combining the idea with spinach and artichoke is such a great idea!

Thanks, Annemarie! I tend to go with the sweet stuff normally too, but this pizza version is super fun 🙂

Am I the only one who can't figure out how to put the 5x5 topping stacked squares into a loaf pan?
valentina says
Hi! What you need to do is set your loaf pan upright with the short side down. Think... almost like an upright bookshelf. Then stack in the squares of dough!
