Mini Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies are the perfect shareable Christmas cookies! The dough takes just 5 ingredients and 10 minutes to throw together, and kids love to help!
Christmas is coming up so soon y'all! Eeep! So much to do, so little time. I'm here to say that it's okay to take a break from the shopping and wrapping... and make some cookies! These Mini Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies have been Christmastime staples in my household for ages and I can't believe they've never been shared on the blog before. They're soft, crumbly little balls of heaven. Let me show you how they're made!
These little snowball cookies are so simple to make, and one of the best parts is that they have no eggs! So eating some raw cookie dough is totally fair game. They're also just 5 ingredients (6 if you count salt) and they come together in the blink of an eye. So basically, they're the PERFECT Christmas cookie! The recipe is straight from the back of the bag of mini chocolate chips because again, no need to mess with perfection. The original adds nuts which I'm sure is delicious in it's own right... we've always had them plain so that's what I'm sharing today!
I've made these snowball cookies a million times at home, but also with my nanny babies over the years! Kids love to help! What could be better than sticking your hands in cookie dough and helping roll some snowballs?! Don't even get me started with the powdered sugar. These can be a total mess to make and eat but they're delicious so, I guess I'll let it slide 😉 These mini chocolate chip snowball cookies are gonna be the cutest addition to your Christmas cookie trays! Happy baking!

Hi Amanda! I would say these cookies can be stored for 5-6 days at room temperature and still be fine. 🙂

Can you use cake flour in this recipe? If so how much should I use? I remember my mom using cake flour and not regular flour. They literally melted in your mouth. Thanks

Hi Linda! I don’t usually bake with cake flour so I am not exactly sure. I would think the amount should be very similar! Google says to use 1 cup + 2 tablespoons of cake flour for each cup of AP flour you’re replacing. That would bring your total to 3 cups and 6 tablespoons of cake flour in this recipe. Hope that helps! Let me know how they turn out 🙂
